2019 Parade of Homes
It’s that time of year again… time for the annual Charlotte Parade of Homes! Each year, homebuilders throughout the Charlotte-metro take the opportunity to showcase their wares to the general public. This is a great chance to display their talents and abilities to everyone, regardless of whether they’re currently shopping for a home or not.
Organized by the Home Builders Association of Greater Charlotte, the much-anticipated event begins this weekend. On Oct. 11-13 AND Oct. 18-20, tour-goers can visit dozens of model, speculative, and pre-sold homes. It truly is a Charlotte-metro experience seeing as you can view homes all the way from Statesville to the North to Lancaster in the South. The tour stretches between Salisbury in the East to Belmont in the West. Have no fear, though: the majority of homes will be clustered in the main part of the city. Highly coveted neighborhoods such as NoDa, Plaza Midwood, and Oakhurst will feature properties as well.
According to the Charlotte Business Journal, there are a total of 63 homes to tour. These 63 are also “in addition to two “drawing board” entries, which depict future home sites and floor plans that are available to purchase but not yet completed.”
Home prices on this tour vary wildly, ranging between $200,000 and $850,000. You’ll be able to tour every size home imaginable, from single-family residences to townhouses.
The Parade of Homes will be held Oct. 11-13 and 18-20. Homes will be open from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 1-6 p.m. on Sundays. The event is free, and those interested in mapping out their tour in advance can do so by visiting the association’s Parade of Homes website.
