Ranking Our Real Estate Market
While the rest of the nation faces a more tumultuous real estate market, Charlotte stands out. WalletHub recently ranked the nation’s best big cities and looked at the top real estate markets therein. While other large cities struggle with soaring costs and falling inventory, Charlotte is mostly insulated from those scenarios. Where exactly does the Queen City real estate market rank?
Charlotte claims the No. 5 spot on the list! That’s right– our very own Queen City has the fifth best real estate market in the entire country.
Making the Grade
When making its determinations, WalletHub weigh several different factors against one another. These metrics include things like affordability, job availability, and population growth. In addition to ranking real estate market, WalletHub produced an overall city ranking which looked at a total of 23 factors. They looked at things like home-value forecast, home-price appreciation, foreclosure and vacancy rates, affordability and others, to give each city a score on a 100-point scale.
Along with its fifth place real estate market ranking, Charlotte came in No. 22 as the best big city in the country. Fellow North Carolina city Raleigh claimed the No. 37 big city spot and the tenth best real estate market.
