Charlotte’s Top Selling Neighborhoods
The numbers are in! Using data compiled by Market Opportunity Research Enterprises, we have the statistics on Charlotte’s top selling neighborhoods. The lists, which feature residential properties only, are divided into two sections. The first contains new home closings in 2018. The second lists all closings, both new homes and resales.
At the top of the list is Waterside at Catawba. This neighborhood boasted a whopping 282 single-family home closings in 2018. As reported by the Charlotte Business Journal, the average sales price was $326,555. The Fort Mill neighborhood also tops the list ranked by number of new-home closings, with 244 in 2018. The average sales price of new homes in 2018 was $325,536.
Taking the No. 2 spot on both lists is Walnut Creek in Indian Land. This neighborhood had 271 closings in 2018, with the vast majority being closings on new construction. The average sales price was $295,710.
Rounding out the top 3 was Highland Creek with 269 closings.
