Queen City New Year’s Eve

In What to do in Charlotte

Looking for a last-minute spot to (quietly) ring in the New Year? While the idea of a snazzy party with a Champagne toast at midnight, dressed to the nines, and wearing heels all night long sounds glamorous, the reality of the situation is we’d all rather be cozying up with a small group of friends in our pajamas. Charlotte Five has developed a top-11 list for the best places to kick off both your heels AND 2019. Read on for a few of their picks!

Pilot Brewing

Branded as the most low-key party in the city, Pilot Brewing will be offering $3 draft beers, light snacks, and free kombucha for designated drivers. There’s no additional cost for the party portion of the evening. 1331 Central Ave., 4pm-1am

Seaboard Brewing

Matthew’s “Largest New Year’s Eve Party” is also free with no cover, however they will be selling a limited number of commemorative branded Champagne flutes ($12) for their midnight Champagne toast. Arrive early to make sure you snag one! They open at 4pm and plan to party until 2am. 213 N. Trade St. There are rumors of surprises!

Sycamore Brewing

This ‘laid-back’ party will feature special beer releases and live music. Enjoy a chill evening nursing a brew or two while playing corn hole and other games, taking in the music of Hunter’s Travesty, and hanging with friends around the fire pit. Come back the next morning for brunch! Party from 4pm-12:15am at 2161 Hawkins St. in South End.

Coyote Joe’s

If the brew scene isn’t your thing and you prefer live music, get last-minute tickets for “The BEST New Year’s Eve Party in Charlotte” at Coyote Joe’s. Doors open at 7pm for live music by Out of the Blue. A free Champagne toast for 21+ will happen at midnight. Enjoy a chance to win cash and prizes throughout the night valued at over $1,500! Tickets start at $12. 4621 Wilkinson Blvd.
