New to Concord Mills Boulevard is The Percantile & Creamery, a 1920’s themed coffee shop and dessert parlor.

This niche hangout will be a destination for high quality coffee, unique desserts, ice cream and– no prohibition here– wine! Grand opening festivities are set for Nov. 2 and those that come in their best flapper getup will be rewarded with a free speciality craft latte.

Owner Sean Colas quips that this sort of theme transports people back to a simpler time. “For whatever reason, people love it,” he says.

And love it, they will. Management has thought about every tiny little detail. There’s an electronics-free zone and a family room where kids can play with toys while parent’s catch up. You’ll also find different nooks that encourage interaction with those around you. Event space will be available by reservation.

The decor is purely 1920’s, entirely Instagrammable, and harkens back to the jazz era perfectly. Expect to see exquisite murals, an actual Ford Model-T, and a letter writing station complete with vintage typewriters, stationery, and stamps. It’s those unique little touches that makes a space memorable.

While the ambiance is on point, don’t expect anything less on flavors. “We’re a coffee shop first,” Colas says. “Then we’re everything else second.”

Most importantly, coffee beans and sweeteners like honey are locally sourced, with organic, gluten-free, and vegan syrups. Cold brew is steeped for 20 hours, ice cream (from Maine) is hand-dipped, and desserts are unique sweet treats like warm Belgian waffle ice cream sandwiches.

So grab your Gatsby-esque digs and be sure to visit The Percantile & Creamery for their grand opening this November. You can find more details on their Facebook page and visit them at 8635 Concord Mills Boulevard.
