Charlotte has a thriving real estate market with a little something for everyone. Potential homebuyers can take advantage of all that the market has to offer. However, the market has been known to favor the sellers recently, as inventory has been historically low. There are still a variety of options, and if your budget is between $300,000 and $400,000, you could score anything from a 1,300 square-foot townhouse to a 3,600 square-foot spacious home. Location definitely makes a big difference in what approximately $300,000 will get you in the greater Charlotte area, and there are plenty of new construction options out there.

If you’re looking for something close to Uptown, Brightwalk off of Statesville Avenue features 2,444 square foot homes starting at $384,000. In South End, you can find a modern townhome at SouthPoint totaling approximately 1,300 square feet that is listed at $386,900. In Front Park Circle in Huntersville, $362,999 will get you a 2,300 square-foot or even larger single-family home. In Fort Mill, you could snag a 2,866 square-foot to 3,200 square-foot home starting at $353,000.

While square footage is certainly a factor in determining home price, so are factors such as commute times, walking distance to bars, restaurants and entrainment,  community amenities such as parks and swimming pools, and more. The good news is, a little flexibility gives you so much to choose from in this booming Charlotte real estate market.
