Popular Japanese sushi restaurant, Sushi Guru, is expected to open a new location for the residents of Plaza Midwood the week of March 12. Sushi Guru currently has one other location in SouthPark so this will be their second location. The new restaurant will have the same menu items customers have loved including bento boxes, fried rice, noodles, and their specialty sushi.
The restaurant is large, at 3500 square feet but includes much more than just the typical sushi restaurant. Spanning two floors, the lower floor will be home to a poke bar. The rising poke trend has led to the opening of many new restaurants in town recently, including the upcoming opening of King Fish Poke.
On the upper level of the building, customers will find the sushi restaurant itself as well as an herb garden that serves as a display piece as well as something for the restaurant to use. There is also an outdoor patio space, perfect for warm nights.
Not only will visitors be able to enjoy the food at the restaurant itself, a sauce kitchen will be built in the back of the building. This will allow the workers to bottle and distribute their specialty sauces to local supermarkets and stores.
be sure to check out Sushi Guru when it opens in a few weeks for plenty of creative and unique menu items!
