The quaint North Carolina lakeside towns of Cornelius and Davidson received recognition this year by being named within the top 10 best places to live in North Carolina.
The rankings were delivered by Niche, a Pittsburgh based research and data analysis company. Niche uses factors like school quality, commute times, and average costs of living to determine its rankings. Their website features personal testimonials from residents which they also take into account when making their decisions.
Cornelius came in tenth place and Davidson claimed the #4 spot as best place to live in North Carolina. (Down from #2 in 2017.)
Davidson currently holds a 4 out of 5 stars rating and pulled in all A’s in the categories of public schools, housing, jobs, nightlife, commute, outdoor activities, and being a good fit for families of all sizes. Davidson’s appeal comes in that it has a college-town feel, a simply darling downtown, yet is close in proximity to Uptown Charlotte and Lake Norman.
Statistics are similar for Cornelius, holding a 4 star rating and an A ranking in public schools. Both towns are rated A+ by Niche.
Rounding out the top 15 are other Charlotte metro suburbs: Matthews claimed #12, Huntersville #13, and Waxhaw #15.
