If one of the items on your life’s bucket list is to own an NFL player’s mansion, then you may very well be in luck. Houston Texan cornerback Jonathan Joseph’s palatial mansion in Charlotte’s Seven Eagles is slated for auction later this week. Now is your chance to check that item off your list… you may just have to possess a cool few million to do so. Read on for a peek inside.
The 15,454 square foot mansion was custom built in 2008 and sits on a 1.6-acre lot near Quail Hollow Club. It boasts 8 bedrooms, 8 full bathrooms, 3 half bathrooms, an ultra modern kitchen, and a home gym. Outside you’ll discover a vanishing pool, full outdoor kitchen, and basketball court.
Other extravagant touches to the home include a fully-functional sauna, a 2-story closet in the Master Bedroom, a home movie theater, 4+ car garage, and an elevator. No luxury has been spared. When the home was first listed in 2017, it had a price tag of $5 Million.
Joseph, a Charlotte-area native, had the home built when it was his plan to retire to the area. But having played NFL football for teams all over the country (recently re-signing with the Texans), it looks like his plans have change. Enter: Charlotte-based luxury real estate marketplace Interluxe. They will facilitate the auction which requires a starting bid of $1.5 Million.
Bids are being taken starting today, April 16. You know, if you’re in the market.
